About Tantillo Construction

Tantillo Construction & Design is owned and operated by Dustin Tantillo. Dustin was born in Flagstaff Arizona and grew up in Seattle, Washington and Maui, Hawaii. Dustin’s family moved to Maui in 1990, where he attended the University of Hawaii and received a Degree in Business. Dustin found a passion for design and construction while working for local Maui contractors throughout high school and college. In 1999 Dustin moved back to Seattle where he worked for K & L wine distributors as a wine representative. K & L Wine Distributors is one of the leading wine distributors in the greater Seattle area and while working for K & L, Dustin became one of the company’s top sales performers. Although Dustin had a bright future within the wine industry his love and passion for construction, and the islands, brought him back to pursue his dream of becoming a general contractor. When Dustin returned to the islands he worked as lead foreman for Do It All Construction, a highly successful local Maui general contracting company. It was during this time that Dustin got his hands-on experience and developed a true knowledge of custom builds and creating innovative designs. The next logical step in achieving his dream was to become a licensed general contractor and start Tantillo Construction & Design.

Dustin and his family have lived in Kihei for over 20 years and Dustin spent most of his teenage years in and around the shores of Maui. Dustin has traveled to many different destinations around the world, and seen many beautiful places and things, but ultimately feels like there is no place like Maui. “I truly believe that with the Hawaiian islands and all they have to offer, there is no better place to live than right here.” Dustin feels very blessed to do what he loves to do for a living in a place that he loves to live. On Dustin’s days off you are likely to find him scuba diving, surfing, hiking, paddle boarding or anywhere outdoors enjoying the island lifestyle. He still enjoys drinking a great bottle of wine, especially while watching a beautiful maui sunset and spending time with his family.
